Hoboken’s most unique events loft, lounge and entertainment venue

Having been a DJ in Hoboken, New Jersey at the Kolo Klub a handful of times, my experience with the venue has always been an amazing one! There is ample space for guests, the food is top notch, the drinks are imaginatively delicious, and every staff member is professional and easy to work with.

Kolo, which means bicycle in Czech, is an indication that something different is going on, which is exactly what the team behind Hoboken's Pilsner Haus and Biergarten want their guests to experience.

Directly from their website: “This artisan-built loft in a turn-of-the-century building in uptown Hoboken is the home to the town’s best kept secret in beautiful event space! KOLO KLUB is now available for private catered events of 40 to 160 guests in our custom decorated lounge. Everything from intimate gatherings to weddings of all sizes to large galas are planned and executed brilliantly by the Kolo Klub team in the stunning setting of our 4,000 square-foot loft.”

From a performer’s perspective, the load-in is a breeze and the staff is very accommodating.

 

Getting to the venue is easy, as you can take the back roads around the traffic that can build up in the Hoboken area. There is plenty of room to stand the car on the wide street, and there is sufficient amount of parking.

Wide sidewalks and a long gradual ramp leads directly through a wide glass door into the main lobby with easy access to a sizable elevator.

Once on the second floor, you are greeted with hardwood floors that lead down a mildly tight hall, through open doors, and into a big main room. On the right is comfortable couches and chairs providing luxurious seating for over a dozen.

Maneuvering around the posts is easy as you cart down the wood panels on the floor, past a few tables and finally another, more comfortable leather seating.

Depending on client needs, the DJ or live music setup seems to be customized along the back wall and in front of the windows or across from the bar in the middle. Regardless of setup, sound seems to travel well and even music at a mild volume can be heard across a packed room.

With 4,000 square feet, there is room for up to 160 guests. High ceilings let you get lifted up in chairs without having to worry about hitting your head!
