Planning a Wedding in 2021 and Beyond- How to Go About It
Many people who had planned their wedding in 2020 had to postpone the event because of the Covid 19 pandemic. The lockdown meant all events that encouraged social gatherings could not take place. It was disappointing but better than the risks involved.

If you can finally have your wedding in 2021 or plan one in the future, it will be a different celebration because things are yet to normalize. The good thing is, you can still hold your wedding, but there are a few decisions and considerations to make.
First, understand that more weddings will take place in 2021, as those who had to postpone because of the pandemic can finally go ahead with their plans.
Get to Understands the Local Rules
Every county has set rules that restrict movement and gatherings. Some are stricter than others. For instance, you can find areas where you can hold a 300 pax wedding, while in other areas, they limit it to 50 people. Because planning a wedding during a pandemic will feel different, don’t do it alone but get an experienced event organizer.
Most importantly, work with someone who offers services in the event’s location. They will better understand the regulations and help organize a smoother event.
Not Everyone Will Make It
If you have a restricted number of people to attend the event, you’ll have to leave out some, and they may not take your decision well. Others may also decline the offer citing tedious travel regulations and health concerns. Older people may want to be more careful when attending an event making some refuse a request. Also, those traveling abroad may find it more expensive and involving and may opt not to attend.
It’s disappointing, but try to understand. It’s even better when you have a smaller ceremony, then plan to have a virtual reception. Let all your friends and relatives who will not attend the physical event make time for the virtual one. If possible, get an experienced virtual event organizer to help create a successful one.
Make Safety a Priority
As mentioned earlier, some people may shy away from attending a social event, while the confirmed guests will want to know the security measures you’ve put in place. When sending the invitation cards, let your guests know the steps in place. Detail physical distancing strategies and, if possible, hold the event on open ground. Also, make sure you have enough sanitizing booths and face masks.
It would also help inform your guests at least five months before the wedding and keep them posted about any changes or modifications. Also, be flexible. County regulations may suddenly change, forcing you to postpone or modify the event.
Also, some event organizers may have regulations in place that you’ll have to follow or look elsewhere. For instance, some are only offering virtual services while others have an attendance limit.
It might be a little bit challenging planning a wedding during a pandemic, but it’s doable. As long as you make it simple, have all the safety measures in place, and follow the government guidelines, you can have the best time of your life. Therefore, don’t postpone your big day. Go ahead and start making plans.
